New Studio HENK store coming soon to the Rozengracht Amsterdam

This winter we are excited to celebrate another milestone with the opening of our new flagship store. Our third store will be housed in a monumental building which is being restored especially for Studio HENK. This new flagship store has an area of almost 1000 m2 - spread over three floors - making it Studio HENK's largest and most extensive store to date

Over the past seven years, we are proud to have grown from a Dutch Design start-up to a fast-growing brand with a mission of a zero-waste future. With sustainability as one of our core values, we bring fully customisable and high-quality furniture to the market - all designed by our in-house product design team.

Expansion at home and abroad

We currently have stores in Amsterdam and Antwerp and more than 75 sales points in the Benelux. This store on the Rozengracht will be the first in a series of Studio HENK stores to be opened as a part of our expansion strategy within the Netherlands and Belgium. Over the coming year we will implement an omni-channel approach to support our further growth ambitions for international expansion.

Restored to its former glory

In the new Rozengracht store, there is room for our entire collection of customisable design furniture. Just like with our stores in Amsterdam-East and Antwerp, customers will be able to visit the store to view our collection and receive personalised interior advice.

The 18th-century shop building on the Rozengracht, which was once a coffee syrup factory and Lucas Bols distillery, is being thoughtfully restored by the Studio HENK team. “Our goal is to emphasise the original beauty of this monumental building - a hidden gem - and to make it visible again for the visitor.” says Xander Albers, Creative Director of Studio HENK. “The original architecture is therefore leading for the overall design and we are only adding consciously what is really needed. We have made extensive use of natural materials and neutral colours as much as possible in the interior, so that the original details - such as cast-iron elements and beam constructions - are revealed.”

Sustainability at the forefront

The new flagship store is being designed using various environmentally friendly materials and fabrics. As a company with a mission to achieve a zero-waste future, our goal is to make sure that nothing in the value chain is wasted. Using the highest quality materials, we produce timeless furniture that will last a lifetime. With each piece being made-to-order and produced in Europe, our ecological footprint is further minimised. We also recently submitted a B Corp Impact Assessment and are focused on implementing the appropriate guidelines to make a positive contribution to preserving our planet.
